Splash
for Cash
When: Saturday May 24, 8:30-10:30am UWF Pool.
The Greater Pensacola Aquatic Club (GPAC) will be hosting a fundraising event to raise money for two important causes in the Pensacola community: GPAC and Sacred Heart Hospital Children's Miracle Network.
The event is called Splash for Cash and serves as an opportunity for all swimmers involved in GPAC to have fun, build on team work, and give back to the community while raising money for important initiatives that help GPAC continue its strong tradition of sportsmanship and individual achievement.
Funds raised through Splash for Cash will be used to buy new training and meet equipment, defray the cost of travel expenses for out of town meets, and off-set training fees to keep the cost affordable to everyone. The focus of GPAC is to give kids ages four and up an opportunity to participate in a healthy sport where the emphasis is team building, sportsmanship, and individual achievement.
GPAC is committed to giving back to the community and will donate 10% of the dollars raised through Splash for Cash to Sacred Heart Hospital Children's Miracle Network. Sacred Heart Children's Hospital provides a wide range of services to infants and children across the panhandle, including the only Level III intensive care nursery in Florida's Northwest region. They also offer dental services, a pediatric clinic, and developmental services, in addition to specialized pediatric emergency care and inpatient facilities for infants, toddlers, school-aged children.
