2009 GPAC Tom Lalor Invitational
GPAC Tom Lalor Invitational played host to 26 teams and several unattached swimmers from 6 different LSC’s. Dallas Texas Mustangs and the Southern Illinois Salukis were the furthest traveling teams to attend. South African Olympic swimmer Gideon Louw put on a show with an impressive 50 meter freestyle swim in a time of 22.55 seconds. Florida Seminoles Swim Club showed up with many top collegiate swimmers to make our Tom Lalor Invitational one of the fastest in our area for the summer season. Area Tallahassee Aquatic Club took 1st place honors while GPAC took a very respectful 2nd place overall. more

Recently Southeastern Swimming announced its 2008-2009 SES Age Group All Star Team. GPAC is PROUD to have eleven athletes named to the team. All Star Selections are made during the Short Course Yard Season by age group. The following swimmers received this distinction: Raymond Burch, Jett Crowdis, Ryan Funk, Logan Gurtowsky, Alex Hernandez, Brian Jockers, Garret Neel, Jack Tona, Caroline Page, Jacquie Kinman, Laurel Rush and Zoe Macfarlane. For those looking for a Southeastern cut or just a better seed time. This is a timed finals meet. For all events, swimmers must have times equal to or faster than the Qualifying Time
(B standard) set forth in the order of events.
Warm-up Sat/Sun am: 7:15
Competition Sat/Sun am: 9:00
Warm-up Sat/Sun pm: A single 45 minute warm-up session will commence immediately after completion of the morning competition session, but no earlier than 11:30 am.
Reminder:
GPAC board meetings are every third Tuesday of the month. They are held at 6:30 pm in the classroom next to the pool
at PJC.
